What each plan includes, how the Free plan and the 30-day trial work, and what happens when you reach a limit.
Compare the plans
All plans include geofencing, multi-location codes, time-based routing, scan limits and analytics. They differ in size.

The Free plan and the free trial
The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card and doesn’t expire. It includes 3 QR codes, 3 geofences, 100 scans a month and one seat: enough to try ScanFence with real codes.
Every paid plan (Solo, Basic, Starter, Professional) starts with 30 days free. You enter your card at checkout, but nothing is charged until the trial ends. Cancel before then in the billing portal and you pay nothing. If you already have a running subscription, a plan change starts without a new trial.
Upgrade, downgrade or cancel
Open My Settings and click Open billing portal →. There you can change your plan, update your card, download invoices and cancel. See Settings and billing.
When you reach a limit
- QR codes. The QR Codes page shows how many you’ve used, for example 7 / 100 codes. When you reach your plan’s limit, + Generate QR is switched off until you delete a code or upgrade. Codes in the trash don’t count.
- Team seats. On the Team page you’ll see Seat limit reached and can’t send new invitations until you free a seat or upgrade.
When a subscription ends
If your paid subscription ends, your account moves to the Free plan. You can still sign in, and your codes, geofences and scan data are kept. From then on the Free plan’s limits apply: if you have more QR codes or geofences than Free allows, you can’t create new ones until you delete some or upgrade again. You can pick a paid plan again at any time.
